RAW: week 3
Copper
Origami Pelican
Continuing to work with origami this week. This form was a lot of fun. Switching to 24 gauge copper definitely saved me some frustration. Although his beak should be more elongated for a pelican, I still think he is a fine specimen.
What an imaginative effort!
ReplyDeleteUsing silver or copper clay "paper" sheets can make it easier for you...
ReplyDeleteThanks Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteSusanna, I like the suggestion, unfortunately, I have no experience with metal clay or access to a kiln. However, I am going to change that at some point so that I can explore my paper clay ring forms in metal.
I recently received the book Foldforming by Charles Lewton-Brain, and these origami pieces have been perfect for learning the basics.
